Snell's Orthotics-Prosthetics is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics. Our facility is also a member of the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association, whose principal goal is to promote the highest level of orthotic and prosthetic patient-care services.
Facility Accreditation
To attain ABC accreditation, all patient care facilities must comply with certain business requirements as well as the appropriate ABC patient care standards.
ABC standards create a minimum expectation for the physical environment and organizational function of orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic patient care providers.
Standards are grouped into categories and include topics such as organizational process, patient care, performance management, product safety, facility safety, and supplier compliance. Each of these categories contains a set of standards unique to the specific type of accreditation an organization is seeking.
Additional Facility Accreditation
In 2008, Clint Snell worked with professionals in the state to develop policies and procedures that would later become Louisiana’s Facility Accreditation law (Act number 732).
Snell’s has been an ABC accredited facility since the inception of the program and was among the first to become a Louisiana state accredited facility.
